Ferries are a menace - how much more proof do you need? Cornish Shrimpers are a popular boat in the harbour and have a good racing scene. The power of that outgoing tide is understandable when you consider the volume of water in Poole Harbour (the 3rd or 5th largest natural harbour in the world depending on who you talk to) and the narrow neck - makes me wonder just how much energy is flooding out unharnessed every 12 hours.
