We've been following the developments of artifical surf lagoons in the Surfers' Group for a while now; some are better than others and a standard mechanism or shape has yet to evolve but Bristol isn't exactly far (by car or train) so its likely to be worth a visit and maybe to make a weekend of it (maybe even camp there next summer as a site is planned - who knows).
