The Plantation in Canford sadly died due to a plague of sorts - long live The Canford!
It's been completely remodelled and the interior design is spot on - add to that a huge garden with the purple plastic dinosaurs having been replaced with three bookable heated Tiki huts in Goldilocks sizes and a full garden bar serving food (opening next month) - there is a huge opportunity for a lot of good nights there as its an easyish walk up from Canford beach.
To celebrate this and enjoy the peaceful window between "The" rugby ending, "The" interminal football recommencing and half term (we have about 4 weeks) I thought a beach walk and a decent lunch is in order.
For those that want to meet us there there is a big car park and free street parking - sadly the area is not served well by buses.
Like the doors, the plan is bifold -
Meet at Westbourne Libertine around 12 as that's busable, leave around 1pm to walk down Alum Chine and along the beach to the secret passage that nobody knows about that ends up nowhere close to the Canford, then hoof it across to the pub for a reserved table and go our separate ways thereafter.
If it's tipping it down in Westbourne then we will share cabs over.
See you at the Libertine at 12-1 or at the Canford from 3pm - we have a round table reserved from 3-5 and I dare say if we want to stay longer the staff will find us a home.
