The Sandbanks Ferry has been out of action for weeks (servicing, it didn't sink) but I drove down there yesterday (9th Jan) and it was being put through its paces

..which means Studland is soon ours once again!

The long flat sandy pristine beach and beautiful dunes beckon - its definitely better to walk than cycle (and safer) - I guess an hour each way plus time in the pub (you can always catch the bus back if you time it right).

Meet at the Haven to enjoy the sunshine then hop on the Ferry for £1 return, turn left at the exit and just keep on walking. The route up to the Bankes Arms is pretty easy and if we feel like it we can visit the Pig and stroll down to Jacks Cafe on the far beach

I'm wishing the winter away as last summer was just so incredible but we often get beautiful warm days in March so here's hoping!
