"A study carried out in [by the] University of Virginia has revealed that [an individual's inclination toward] being an extrovert or an introvert does [may] have an association with the geographical location of their [individual] choice of destination as well [as well as what?]. Based on a total of 613,000 personality surveys, the reports [the study mentioned earlier was singular but okay..] suggests [suggest] that extroverts are the beach people who are more prone towards the hip and happening beach life. On the other hand, introverts are the mountain people [who] prefer the peace and quiet of mountains and natural surroundings where they can just be themselves."
Appalling writing aside, even as a snowboarder I have honestly never understood the mountain / views / misery / cold thing.
Why would you want to put yourself through such an awful experience? Climbing into thin air then going to bed in a terrible tent on dusty rock all stinky absolutely cannot compare to what the world's oceans and beaches can deliver. What happens to all the poo?
Free climbing to me says "you didn't die today, well done you. Won't be long now".
Shivering in a tent X000m up - how can that possibly be enjoyable?
I put those people in the same bucket as the Californians that desperately want you to believe that 'their' deserts are beautiful (admittedly they probably are responsible for the deserts if you've read anything about almond farming)..
..and the Scots (always in London ofc) banging on about their highlands and their heather - these are essentially people that haven't seen the green and awesome South West of England.
Also - that guy in the picture is either spray tanned or in colossal pain.
