Shore road beach is I think either Kite Beach or the beach by Jazzies as they are either side of Shore Road
As you swim along the ocean side there are large underwater pipes covered by rocky groynes which at certain points of tide you can feel the surge of warm harbour water rushing out.
I've often been ill from swimming on the harbour side which is why wading took over - initially i would wade from North Haven to Saltern's marina to check the water quality and then decide whether to swim back - towards the end of the summer i generally decided not to.
If you have a look at my article on sewage overflows you will see that since the start of this year the environmental agency have only sampled the water three times compared to the previous years twenty to thirty.
..and Shore Road is the dirtiest beach in the country.. hmm.
