I've just ordered a RUK 2 Piece paddle from Amazon. It seems to me that the 4 piece ones are for emergency and that you need an alloy shaft rather than glass or carbon fibre as the alloy won't flex so much.

It's for for surf SUP mostly - renting the SUP from Jack's shack so I'd bike along the prom hence the need for a split paddle.

I'll let you know how it does - plastic blades maybe heavier but they don't chip
